'Botanica' Glass Tumblers by Ulla Forsell

£78.00

"I use high fired ceramic decals because I want the decals to melt into the glass surface. Therefore, the process is complicated as the glass collapses at 550°C. I have found a way around that problem which means that I more or less blow the glass twice. The 'Botanica' collection is unique and includes different floral motifs."

By Ulla Forsell
Each tumbler has a unique Hand-printed Botanical Illustration.
Materials: Glass with Screen Printed Botanical Motifs
Techniques: Sheets of glass are blown into cylinders. The botanical illustrations are taken from 18th-century etchings by German botanist Georg Dionysius Ehret. The motifs are screen-printed onto the glass panels and then fired.
Care: Wipe with a lint-free cloth.
