Working in stoneware and porcelain, Castro creates a range of tableware and unique one-off pieces on the potter’s wheel. Working in small batches, each piece is decorated with slips before a bisque firing at 1000º C. After bisque pieces are glazed and fired for a second time to 1260º - 1280º C depending on the glaze. Variations in design and decoration from one batch to the next make every item unique.
