'Pique-Fleurs Banquise' (Trio) by Cécile Daladier
£1,375.00
“Memory is in a way at the heart of my work. These pieces link to memory through the evocative power of water, and through the flowers themselves: the flowers of celebrations, weddings, birthdays, funerals, which celebrate or honour memories, disappearances, reunions and parties. But also, the flowers of everyday life – blooming and fading, fugitive. The water itself is fugitive, evaporating and fleeing, caught up in the passage of time that sweeps us away.”
– Cécile Daladier on this piece created for the Making Memories exhibition
By Cécile Daladier
Materials: Raku ceramics
Techniques: Hand-built
Dimensions: H;6.5cm, W;31cm, D;19cm (Measurements taken of the trio as a whole)
Care: A gentle wash with warm water. Raku pieces can be porous when holding water for extended periods of time - care should be taken when placing on sensitive surfaces, particularly wood.
PLEASE NOTE: This piece is part of our current exhibition, ‘Making Memories’. We therefore kindly request to keep it at the gallery until at least 15th December. If you would like to purchase but need earlier delivery, please contact us at info@flowgallery.co.uk
