Moon 2 by Nina Malterud

£1,500.00

“A ceramic piece carries material memories from all stages of the process of becoming: tracks and fingerprints from handling raw clay, pouring or painting with slip, cracks from drying and shrinking, transformation from brittle to solid, effects and interactions from glazes. Memories are also inherent through references to thousands of years of ceramic tiles, bricks, bowls and vessels. Meanwhile, imaginations of moons are initiated just by circles within ceramic squares.”

– Nina Malterud on this piece created for the Making Memories exhibition
