“I work with precious metals, predominantly wire. Favouring techniques such as weaving wire and making chain, both repetitive processes that require a sedentary making stance similar to working with textiles. I deliberately use a low-tech approach to making and often apply myself to the miniature world, where making is done whilst holding my breath, in complete silence. I am a chain maker and whilst chain is what I make it is also the subject of my work. I use chain as a way to explore materiality and material relationships.”
