18ct Gold Drop Earrings by Alison Evans, £650

“My work is about process & transformation. Head & hand; Hard material to fabric; Textility & dexterity.  The beauty of patterns & repetition in nature.”

– Alison Evans

Long Oxidised Silver ‘Pod’ Earrings, £1,090

Alison is motivated by metals properties focusing on transforming raw material into textiles through handcraft. Her pieces are technical and delicate, inspired by processes and materials found in history, industry and nature. Echoing the movements of metals in their molten forms and speckled with precious stones, her jewellery is treasure.

Working from her converted barn studio on the family farm in rural East Sussex, each piece is crafted using chainmail loops or shingles from recycled metals including 18-carat gold, silver and titanium. The diamonds Alison selects are all ethically sourced, many taken from older pieces of jewellery to be re-loved and re-worn.
