Kei Tominaga

Japanese Metal Artist and Jeweller

“SOFT SHEET METALS SUCH AS SLIVER, GOLD & COPPER ARE MORE FLEXIBLE THAN WE GENERALLY THINK, SO I WORK WITH THESE METALS EXACTLY AS I WOULD WORK WITH OTHER EVERYDAY MATERIALS SUCH AS PAPER.”

Inspired by disposable plastic and paper spoons, Tominaga uses thin sheet metal to highlight the simplicity and beauty in the sharp folding lines and curves of a spoon.
