Postponed Until Further Notice
We would like to invite you to join Annemarie O’Sullivan & Flow Gallery on a two-day basket weaving workshop, with an overnight stay at historic Belcombe Court in Bradford on Avon. During the course, you will be working with Annemarie on your own project creating a Berry Basket. The weave and techniques used for this basket are English Rand, Waling and Paring. Over the two days, you will complete the basket whilst enjoying and exploring the gardens at Belcombe.
The delicious organic vegetarian menus for breakfast, lunch and supper will be locally sourced, with seasonal produce cooked by Beth Rikabi (the free range chef). You will stay and relax in one of the beautiful grade 1 listed bedrooms, and sleep underneath the ornate ceilings of the John Wood Suite. All rooms are individually furnished, with each room offering a different aspect and connection with the gardens.
Annemarie O’Sullivan
Annemarie O’Sullivan is an Irish basket maker who has studied basket making for over fifteen years throughout Europe. Her work draws on the sturdiness of agricultural baskets, the curves of the landscape and a deep respect for ancient crafts. Annemarie creates small-scale domestic objects through to large-scale architectural installations. She grows her own willow in East Sussex. Flow gallery has shown her beautiful work for the past five years.
